The Underdark

After having narrowly escaped Spellhold, Arak and Co. were hot on the trail of Irenicus and his vile sister Bodhi. Within the walls of Spellhold was found a portal. With no where else to go, the Death Dealers decided to see where this portal would take them. It was apparent that Irenicus had used it himself to escape with his life, so if we were to follow his lead, so be it.

This strange portal had sent the Death Dealers to some subterrainian landscape. Nothing but darkness surrounded the group. Battling past several small Drow patrols, Arak and Co. made their way to a small Svirfneblin village. Having spoken to the Mayor of the Svirfneblin’s the Death Dealers were off on a new adventure. It had come to pass that the local Svirfneblins had mined too deep and released an evil being from many years past. This evil life force was now threatening the very existence of this village and it had to be stopped. Enter Arak…

Without a moments hesitation, the Death Dealers headed over to the mining pit and quickly dispatched the vile creature. We were of course, regarded as the new heroes of the shire. We took this opportunity to question the locals about any strangers coming this way. Indeed, Irenicus and Bohdi had been spotted entering the city if Ust Natha.

Ust Natha, the City of the Drow. What would pobsibly possess them to enter that forbidden city of the evil, dark-elves?!?!?! If that was to be our path, then so be it. But how would we enter the city without being killed on site? The Drow aren’t exactly known for their hospitality, now are they?

Upon further questioning of the Svirfneblin mayor it was brought to light tales of a mythical creature residing nearby that could gain us entrance into the city. Turns out this creature was none other than a dragon, a Golden Dragon by the name of Adalon.

It turns out she had something stolen from her by the Drow and they were using it as leverage over her. Adalon agreed to help me gain entrance into the Drow city, in return for helping her retrieve her lost possessions. Damn, can anybody do something just from the goodness of their heart!!!! What an evil world this Faerun seems to be.

Without much choice, Arak and Co. agreed to help Adalon and off they were to Ust Natha. The tales of that are far to evil to speak. You will have to go there yourself to hear of the tales of Arak and the Death Dealers…

Arak was back to hitting the spellbooks again this weekend, and all this week. He must be trying to level up or something. Hopefully, his Master will be a kind ruler and let him go out and do some adventuring this weekend. See you then….

You can’t always get what you want.

I think the Rolling Stones song says it all. You just don’t always get what you want. At least that’s what Mason Storm will be telling Otho about his quest to find Otho’s nephew and his beloved hammer. Mason must have taken a wrong turn in the dungeon or (let’s hope it’s not the case) accidentally killed Otho’s nephew in one of the huge battles with the Drow.

It looks like Mason will be finally heading to Baldur’s Gate. He’s ready to get a taste of what city life has to offer. And besides, he can’t continue to work for the chump change these dirt farmers keep offering.

Got My S_ _ T Back!!!!

Arak and Co. escaped the maze beneath spellhold. The Vampire Bohdi was waiting at the exit to see if they would make it thru. As the Death Dealers started their attack a sudden and violent changed occurred in Arak. He had transformed into some sort of DEMON!!!! Bodhi was so afraid that she and her minions fled in horror. Before she left she made mention that this was a sign from Bhaal himself.

Confused and out of control Arak (now the Slayer) attacked anyone or anything he saw. He even nearly killed Jaheira. After several panicy minutes Arak turned back into himself. He could feel the power flowing thru his veins while he was the slayer but he also knew that he could never totally control this beast. He thought to himself that this transformation could be very deadly indeed if taken too lightly. It would probably be best if he never turned into the Slayer again.

Now that the way was clear (so they thought) to exit the dungeon Arak and Co. headed for the exit. None to quickly they realized that they were not free yet. One more trial, one more force testing the will of Arak. Do these damn people not know who they are dealing with!!! I could easily destroy all of them!!! I am a god!!! No, no I must not let this new beast take control of me. I am Arak, not my father Bhaal. I control my destiny, not this creature within me.

This new force was put in place by the creators of Spellhold to test all those that desire to leave. Apparently, there is apparently some sort of test judging one sanity before exit is permitted. Obviously, I passed.

Having regained entrance to Spellhold proper, Arak and Co. rallied all the legitimate crazies and set forth to destroy Irenicus. It was an epic battle, one worthy of tales for many moons to come, but the evil sorcerer was defeated. Although, Irenicus escaped with his life the victory was just as sweet.

Since we had Spellhold to ourselves, the Death Dealers went in search of their weaponry that was taken away earlier. There in Irenicus’ chambers was found all of the missing items. Elated as they were, Arak and Co. decided to take a much needed rest in the comfort of Spellhold…

Irenicus + Bohdi = 2 Freaks

Arak and Co. were hot on the trail of rescuing Imoen from the Mage prison known simply as Spellhold. But much to everyone’s chagrin our old pal Irenicus had taken over the prison. Needless to say that this didn’t bode well for the Death Dealers.
Irenicus had been performing “expirements” on Imoen. It came to light that Imoen herself was a Bhallspawn. Why is Irenicus so interested in us? What have we done to him? Irenicus stole something from us, and we will be damned if we let him get away with it.
Having taken what he needed, he left us to the vile creature Bohdi, Irenicus’ own sister. Stripping us of all our gear (BASTARDS) we were sent to the mazes below Spellhold to fight for our lives. With nothing more that our clothes and a few daggers and clubs, the Death Dealers set out to retrieve whatever it was that Irenicus stole from Arak and Imoen…

The Studious Mage

•January 10, 2007 • 2 Comments

Well Arak and Co. took a well deserved break last night. After jaunting all over the known (and unknown) realms in search of a dragon, Arak took some time out to study his mage scrolls. But rest assured, the Death Dealer will be back in action tonight.

Check back tomorrow for the gruesome details…

Will the real Kensai-Mage please stand up.

Well it looks like Mason Storm has taken the plunge and committed to becoming both an accomplished Mage but also a deadly Kensai fighter. It looks like Mason is following down the path of his brother Arak. Not only has he followed in the same professional path as his brother, but he seems to attract the same attention. Mason has been busy handling problems for it seems like every poor dirt farmer on the Sword Coast. Most recently, Mason rescued the son of the Mayor of Nashkel and easily dispatched a Dragon that had been threatening Nashkel. Mason is currently trying to find the nephew of Otho the Smitty.

Maybe Mason will eventually make it to Baldur’s Gate and make some sense of his past and possibly his future.

Arak, the Dragon Hunter???

•January 8, 2007 • 1 Comment

Well, its a new year and Arak is back!

The past few days in Faerun have been exciting indeed. Arak and Co. travelled high and low in search of Drizzt’s friends. It seemed as though we were at a dead end when we finally ran into someone with more information.
The party had travelled throughout several distant lands in search of Bruenor, Catti-Brie and the others. Nothing could stop the party. Not even inter-dimensional travel.
It appears that Jarlaxle and Entreri are up to their old tricks, trying to take over the universe, starting with Faerun. Well, not if Arak the Destroyer has anything to do with it. They have once again unleashed the power of the Crystal Shard. An oblect so evil that only the breath from a dragon can destroy it.

But where will Arak get a dragon!!! We shall soon see…

Mason Storm Rings in the New Year

•December 31, 2006 • 1 Comment

In true adventurer fashion, Mason Storm is ringing in the new year with a healthy dose of adventuring. Having cleared the iron mines of Nashkel of all evil creatures, the mystery surrounding the iron crisis is no closer to being solved.

Mason was also able to discover the location of a secret bandit camp, and he easily sent all that he found there to a hasty end. Mason has continued on to the treacherous Cloakwood forest to try to bring some peace to the realm.
